Carpet, Upholstery, Drapes & Blind Cleaning

Even the highest-quality carpet can show wear over time. To maintain your carpet's appearance, carpet cleaning should be performed by professionals every six to twelve months.

Burke's Restoration offers a range of specialized carpet cleaning methods:

  • Bonnet Cleaning: A less aggressive method for short piled carpets.
  • Hot Water Extraction: A deeper cleaning method for all carpet types.
  • Delux Precondition and Rinse: Helps restore deeply soiled areas.
  • Showcase Premier Cleaning: The most thorough cleaning method in the industry.
  • Dry Cleaning: When colour-fastness is an issue.

Air Duct cleaning, Heating and Cooling System (HVAC) Cleaning

Professional air duct cleaning is one of the best things you can do for your home or business. Ventilation systems are often the biggest culprit in poor indoor air quality. Make it a priority to inspect your air ducts at work and your home and have them cleaned regularly.
If your HVAC has been operating for some time without attention, it could be circulating odours, dust and other contaminants. When you clean the dust out of your heating and cooling system, you reduce the dust circulating in your home, at the same time removing allergy causing contaminants like mould, mildew and bacteria.
Burke's Restoration routinely inspects the heating, ventilation and air conditioning units ensuring they remain clean. This can extend the life of the equipment; saving you money and give you cleaner air.

Biohazard, Crime Scene and Vandalism Cleaning

Handling biohazard materials is difficult and dangerous work because of the risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other toxic materials. These can pose a serious risk to your workers, family members and the general public.
With our specialty equipment, cleaning products, and technical expertise, Burke’s Restoration can safely and efficiently turn your unsafe environment into a clean and protected living space.

Important considerations to keep in mind regarding Biohazard Crime Scene & Vandalism:

  • We have biohazard policies and procedures in place
  • Crews are certified in bio-recovery and professionally trained
  • Crews are equipped with personal protective clothing and state-of-the art equipment

Methods of Content Restoration

  • Dry Cleaning: Used for the removal of light to medium non-grease based soils, or to pre-clean excess residues prior to wet cleaning.
  • Wet Cleaning: An effective and aggressive cleaning method for removing moderate to heavy residues.
  • Foam Cleaning: The technique is used primarily for upholstery fabrics that might shrink when wet or whose dyes would likely bleed.
  • Abrasive Cleaning: Involves agitation of the surface being cleaned.
  • Immersion Cleaning: Effective for materials that can withstand being completely saturated with the cleaning product. Contents are dipped into a bath of the cleaning product.

Recovering Valuable Documents

Document drying is a complex process, extreme caution should be taken when your valuable documents become damaged. Though many types of documents cannot be fully restored to pre-loss condition, Burke's Restoration can save a great deal and help minimize additional damage.

Depending on the type of damage and the type of document, there are five options for the restoration of your documents:

  1. Air Drying
  2. Dehumidification
  3. Freeze Drying
  4. Vacuum Freeze Drying
  5. Vacuum Thermal Drying

Electronic Salvage and Cleaning

It is very important to perform electronic cleanup immediately after smoke damage because smoke residue may contain acids that corrode metal surfaces. Taking quick action can help minimize damage to electronics and help prevent further damage. If you suspect your electronics have been damaged by smoke or water, it is very important NOT to turn on the electrical equipment.

Burke's Restoration can look after electronic cleanup, including:

  • Televisions
  • DVD players
  • Computers
  • And more!
