Burke’s Restoration (“BURKE’S”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers, entities that it does business with and anyone inquiring about our products and services. The Privacy Policy is to inform you of BURKE’S policies and procedures in regards to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information and to ensure our compliance with applicable privacy legislation.

What is Personal Information

Personal information identifies you as an individual. It includes such things as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and financial information. The information BURKE’S may collect includes; but may not be limited to: name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, financial information, insurance Information and credit card information.

Collecting, Using and Disclosing Your Personal Information

BURKE’S collects uses and discloses your personal information in order to provide you with the claims restoration services you require. Usually this information is provided to BURKE’S through a third party, most likely an insurance company. At other times, it is collected directly by BURKE’S. In order to provide you with claims services, BURKE’S collects and uses your personal information to communicate with you and the insurance company while the work is in process. Burke’s may also provide details of the work to third party contractors, and while collecting any fees that may be payable by you or the insurance carrier and providing you with the appropriate warranty, should a warranty be applicable. There may be circumstances requiring BURKE’S to disclose personal information in order to provide our services. For example, information may be disclosed to a subcontractor that BURKE’S has contracted to provide some or all of the services to you. BURKE’S may disclose some or all of your information to a third party in order to audit the services that BURKE’S provides or to audit our general business practices. Only the necessary information to complete the work will be disclosed. By accepting services from BURKE’S, you agree to the collection (whether direct or from your insurer), use and disclosure of your personal information in order to complete the acknowledged intent. You may withdraw your consent at any time, but in doing so, this may impede BURKE’S ability to continue or complete any services that it has provided to you. In such cases, the withdrawal of consent shall in no way limit BURKE’S's ability to be paid; not only for services provided to date, but for any other reasonable service that we have committed to on your behalf.

Protecting Your Privacy

BURKE’S agrees to to keep your personal information in strict confidence. We have taken reasonable steps to do so, such as physical, electronic and procedural measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and distribution. These measures are reviewed from time to time and may be modified at BURKE’S's discretion. Access to your personal information is restricted to only those employees that are required to know this information. Information is retained only as long as is necessary, or to meet any legal, regulatory or tax requirements. It is BURKE’S's policy not to sell its customer information to any third party.

Accessing Your Personal Information

Please submit a written request to access and review your personal information that is in BURKE’S possession in order to make changes or corrections. In order to better protect this right, your request must be accompanied by proof of your identification. Please provide such things as; photocopies of your driver’s license or passport or birth certificate. The information contained in these documents will be subject to the same provisions as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Any such request may be made to the attention of BURKE’S's privacy officer at the address indicated below. BURKE’S will endeavour to respond to your request within 10 working days of receipt of such request, or will advise you if additional time is necessary in order to respond to your request. There may be situations where BURKE’S is legally prohibited from allowing you access to your personal information. For example, BURKE’S would be so prohibited should the sharing of your personal information provide you with access to the personal information of another person or persons. Should this be the case, BURKE’S will provide you with a written explanation of the reasons such information cannot be produced.
